About Wheelhouse Cycles
Welcome to Wheelhouse Cycles, Powhatan’s only dedicated bicycle repair shop. My philosophy is simple: every rider deserves dedicated focus and dependable service. I steer clear of the corporate, assembly-line approach so I can offer tailored care to every single bike brought to me.
My story started at a young age when I first discovered cycling, but everything changed in 2003 when I was introduced to mountain bikes. That spark grew into a lifelong passion—leading me to ride with local clubs, coach for a NICA mountain bike team, and even do some racing. Over the years, I also dedicated hundreds of hours volunteering alongside the Department of Natural Resources to build trails on the Quantico Marine Corps Base.
After retiring and moving to the area, I took another job, but my heart never left cycling. That enduring passion drove me to open Wheelhouse Cycles—a small, dedicated workshop built to offer a truly local, personalized experience for riders in Powhatan, Goochland, and the surrounding communities.
